LUXURY managed apartments can offer a cost-effective alternative to the city’s growing hotels stock, claims a Liverpool company.
Signature Living offers “upwardly mobile” apartments around the city for weekday and weekend visitors.
It will be able to provide 230 bed spaces in three locations, building on its first venture in Victoria Street.
Former HR manager Katie Kenwright bought her first apartment in 2008, and used the profits to eventually acquire all 12 units in the Victoria Street site.
They offer underfloor heating, a double whirlpool bath in one, free wi-fi, films, even a welcoming bottle of wine.
Katie said: “You can press a button in the morning and your lights come on, the curtains draw and the TV comes on.
“Whatever hotels charge you on, we won’t. I paid a ho

Good communication skills are the key to business success. Think about it.
Communication is the key to sales. If you cant communicate effectively with your customers and/or clients, youll lose them.
Communication is the key to management. If you dont communicate effectively with your management team, your sales staff, and/or your bank manager, misunderstandings will fester into business crises.
Communication is the key to marketing. The most carefully orchestrated marketing campaign will fail if you dont get the right message to potential customers, or worse, communicate the wrong message entirely.
And the most fundamental communication skill is being able to speak well.
If youre concerned about the impression you create when you open your mouth, if you want to be able to communicate face-to-face with people without irritating or confusing them, this is the course for you.
The Speak to Success course consists of six speech lessons and a wrap-up lesson that will help you shape up your oral communication skills. In e

What? Cookie Monster mislead us? That’s like questioning mom, apple pie and the 4th of July!
But he did. If you don’t believe me, just watch this very short (one-minute) video clip:
Where’s the fib? In his implication that there’s only one right answer to the question.
From a very early age we‘re taught by authority figures to think in rigid ways. In particular, we’re taught that there is one, and ONLY one, right answer to every problem or question. As evidenced by the video clip, even Cookie Monster gets in on the act. And he’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Did you take the SAT or ACT exams in high school? Or maybe the LSATs on the way to law school? Remember how many of the multiple-choice questions had several likely answers? I can remember constantly fighting the urge to fill in more than one bubble.
If I had, not only would I have gotten the question wrong, they would probably have put me in the “special” class. That’s how strong

Both firms are central players in a high profile, yearlong investigation into how Florida attorneys and paperwork processing companies generated documents that banks need to foreclose.
Joe Jacquot, a former deputy attorney general, left his position in May to become a senior vice president at Lender Processing Services, one of several companies the state has accused of manufacturing bogus legal documents so banks could seize homes from their owners.
Erin Cullaro, a former assistant attorney general, was hired by Shapiro and Fishman, another foreclosure law firm under investigation. She said she stopped working there after a week.
Cullaro had previously been fired by the attorney general’s office in April for moonlighting as a document preparer with one of the state’s so-called “foreclosure mills.”
Jacquot and Cullaro said they did not have information about the investigations and did not violate any state laws or Florida Bar rules of ethics with their job changes.
The rules are written to encourage talented people to take public service jobs, which they might not take if private sector jobs were then off-limits, said Roberta Flowers, a legal ethics professor at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
“It’s one of those things where it doesn’t smell right,” Flowers said.

Seasonal demand and special offers can be a boon to many companies, but sometimes they can cause more problems than they solve. If a young company runs a promotion and finds themselves unable to keep up with customer demand, then it can seriously damage their reputation. This is where ecommerce fulfilment and mailing fulfilment outsourcing services can come in useful.
For a small company, a surge in demand at a specific time of year causes many logistical problems. If the demand is expected, then it could be possible to hire staff on a short term contract basis to pick up the slack, but what if you don’t have a big enough office to house the extra staff? What if you don’t know roughly what the demand will be like? Using an external ecommerce fulfilment or mailing fulfilment outsourcing service can help with this.
An ecommerce fulfilment company should already have enough office space and staff to cope with all but the biggest mailing fulfilment campaigns. The
